Megumi was wary as she came to the border of the Land of Earth, looking around for any sign of shinobi. She was on an official mission there, but it wouldn't be the first time one of the local ninja got the wrong idea. She'd never been to the Land of Earth before, and even with Kakuzu beside her she was reluctant to be there alone. She'd been told a shinobi from the Land of Lightning would be there as backup for the mission, but she wasn't looking forward to meeting him. She wasn't really a team person, unless that team composed of Neji or Team Gai.

OOC: Write it like a story, but only the part of the story where your character is doing anything. Don't make the other person's character do anything unless they ask you to. If you're including another canon character or another random person in the RP that isn't claimed by anyone on the site you can, so long as the other people you're RPing with agree that the character can be in there. Please at least write a paragraph for your post.

Lightning saw the redheaded rain kunoichi with the tall man beside her and jumped out of hiding from where he was behind a bush. "Are you the rain ninja I'm assigned to work with?" He asked her as he landed in front of her and looked the unfamiliar teen up and down. The man looked threatening, and he tried not to look him in the face. He instead kept his eyes trained on the kunoichi's face.

ooc: How's that?

Megumi frowned and exchanged a look with Kakuzu before turning back to the shinobi that had jumped out in front of her.
"Depends." She told him. "Are you the cloud ninja? The mission's to track down a couple of rogue shinobi who have been causing problems in our villages."

OOC: You're doing great.

Lightning nodded in response.
"Yeah, that's my mission." He told her. "I guess I'll have to take you into the village for briefing."

Megumi nodded in agreement and followed the lightning shinobi through the forest in the direction of the village. It was starting to get dark, and the temperature was falling quite quickly. But it wouldn't be long until they reached the village. She thought of Neji, in his room in the Hyuuga compound, and sighed. They weren't getting the time together that they needed anymore. Kakuzu trudged along behind her, thankfully keeping his distance. At least he didn't come along whenever she had a mission with Neji. Nagato at least trusted him to keep her safe.

Lightning led Megumi and Kakuzu through the forest, and it wasn't long before the giant rock village of the land of earth. He'd been there for a couple of days now, gathering intelligence on the two rogue shinobi they'd been sent to track down. It wasn't long before the two finally reached the gates to the village.

They finally reached the gates of the village and Megumi stepped forward to fall into step beside the cloud shinobi.
"I'm Megumi, what's your name?" She asked him as they walked, holding out a hand for him to shake. Kakuzu coughed pointedly behind them. "Oh, yeah, this is Kakuzu." She said.
"You know what I mean." Kakuzu snapped. Megumi sighed and withdrew her hand, putting it back in her pocket as she waited for the cloud shinobi to answer her question.
